Talking Daft things we've done!

We've all done something daft whilst fishing, you know throwing out your keepnet and letting go or stepping back and getting soaked. What's your moment of madness? I bought a preston vee roller a couple of years ago and on its second outing left it on the roof of the car. Going up the road I heard a noise as something slid off the roof. Not till we got home did I realise what I had done. Never seen it again!

i have done several silly things....picking one wasnt easy......the latest one was at Bonehill mill year before last in an open match.just coming up to the weigh in and i was about to get my net out for the scalesmen .But it was stuck on a twig...now we all been there a little flick and its free...not this time the twig was a log and the flick resulted in me doing a perfect somersault (5.2 ..5.2...5.5 ) entered the water without so much as a ripple......when i stood up the scalsemen were all rolling in the mud laffing ...personally i would never have laughed i could have drowned...ohhh and when i got back to the cafe one guy said i new something happened there was a mini tidal wave on this side of the pool.... not sure what he meant

Sunday at the Riddings, trudged back to the car after the match and left my two made up rods at the side of the car whilst I started packing away. Got chatting to someone and forgot about the rods. I remembered them after I had reversed back about 3 foot with full right hand lock. Unfortunately this was 2 foot too far.

tell you about stupid things others have done, mine are secretyears ago when we used to fish the trent every week, there was a guy who was going thro a dozen or more blockend feeders,
the daft bugger was only filling them up and chucking them in.

once at heyford i was pegged next to someone who was on a bridge flyer peg and was battering the match. he must have had 20 carp (giving it large about being his first to match weight0
end of the match hes the last to weigh in, i stands there with the scales, big gallery waiting to see his moment of glory.

pulls his net out stopping to shake the water off as he went, braces himself for the big lift and................................... nothing the silly sod had forgot to zip up his net after his previous match.
didnt know wether to laugh or cry

Daftest thing I have ever done is to learn the wife how to fish, she beats me hands down every time now and I have to pay for everything
