Default a couple of questons

everyone is wearing camo gear. but is it all that it is cracked up to be?

I wear a green jumper and a pair of light brown trackie bottoms. John Wilson wears a bright red jumper and catches more fish than I could dream of, all over the country too on and in different types of water.

So does camo really make a difference?

Also from the garbolino thread in the other section, I have contacted and beenreplied to by a spokesman from the company, he recommended that i should be looking for a '3000' reel to go wiht a rod of theirs.

what does he mean by '3000' ?

Cheers

Pete

Dont think it makes much difference mate!
I believe fish only see a silhouette (i.e dark) as same as a different colour pole tip!
I wouldnt go for a dayglow colour though

There is a certain angler on here who wears bright pink!,cant recall his name at the moment though

i am going to have to agree with abbo62, Don't think it makes much difference look i am wearing blue and i still catch them next to me in the margins. like Jethro said just sit still and don't make to much noise and they will be there.. does camo really make a difference no but thats me......

Thanks so far.

I Thought as much, but I do need some new wet weather gear as I found out on saturday that the stuff I have now is as much use as chocolate tea pot. So I will be buying some new gear soon. I will probably plumb for some dark colour but I am not going to go all camo, thats for sure.

And what about the other part

What does the '3000' mean when relating to reels. or the 2500, 3500, 4000 etc etc etc.

Thanks

Pete
