A quality tackle shop should help you out, even if it's only a repair job, if they refuse they would'nt get any more of my cash.

Go to the trading standards and take your reciept for the pole, they should help.

Another suggestion, rather than go to the tackle shop, instead go straight to the manufacturer. As a matter of interest what make of pole is it?

Take the broken section back to the tackle shop where you bought it as they are who you have a contract with not the manafacturer. If they say no to a replacement section ask them to show it to the rep or send it back for you to the manafacturer who should then make a decision on wether it failed or was broken / damaged, Do not get all lairy as this will put peoples backs up and you will get no help at all. If you bought it on the net and they are not helpful then contact the manafacturer complaining of their agents poor service
