i would say it is better for little silvers stirs up the bottom gudgeon like to explore roach just like food but if you use maggot in a river catch silvers galore

dont think it matters at first, maybe after a few hours the colder water may effect the fishing.... cold water always does something but for better or worse i dont know, does it freshen lakes ? to be honest i like to look for pegs on the canal that have running water coming in its a food investigation place for fish i feed into the running water and fish in the flow from it.

i think if fish are feedin then it wont matter, on rivers i believe the fish head for the bridges to keep dry

I would say the additional oxygen would balance out the temperature difference,
