Thumbs down Rubbish in pegs

How do some people call themselves anglers when they leave so much crap in their pegs after fishing.
I was lucky enough to get a few hours evening session in at Kingsland Reservoir on sunday. At 5pm there was only 4 out of 25 pegs left on the lake and the corner peg I chose to fish was a right mess!!! There was a coke bottle, fag packet, sweetcorn tin (half opened), groundbait, pellets and about 10 yards of line strewn about.
I was not happy and explained to my daughter that this was bad for fishing. She asked why they didnt take it home or put it in a bin.
Everyone was gone by 8pm so I decided (in the rain) to walk around the lake. What a bloody mess it was! I found a carrier bag with empty food packets and half eaten sarnies in it, and I found rubbish in all but 3 or 4 of the recent empty pegs!!
My girl and me filled 2 carrier bags of rubbish and threw the 3 loaves of bread we found to the ducks and cruising carp.
What wrong with these folk, they make me sick!!! its so easy to pick up after yourself as you all know, but these so called anglers must live in pigstys at home.
The owner here must have enough to do without having to pick up after these prats.
I am sure is isnt just me that finds swims like this. Does anyone else have the same problem and have you had any encounters airing your views?
A mad Neilio

I think you find litter on most venues and yes it gets on my nerves too. I fished the Thames last week from the peg I collected two juice bottles, two empty beer bottles, crisp packets and an empty tin of luncheon meat, put them all in a carrier bag which was also conveniently left in the peg.
Funny thing was a bloke came along and asked if he could have some luncheon meat as he had forgot his. I said I did not have any as I was fishing the Waggler for roach and dace. He looked at me funny and then went away it was only after that I realised that he must have seen the empty can in the bag and thought I was a tight sod not giving him any.
Took all the crap home and most of it went into the recycling bin.
Get a lot of anglers around my neck of the woods saying it is the kids that leave the crap, I think there are as many adults as kids that can not be bothered. It’s just easier for people to blame kids.

It only takes one idiot to ruin the reputation of the good considerate anglers

Iam sick to death of picking up everyone else's crap, but still go out my way to do it. Iam a great beleiver in taking names when you pay for your ticket and just ban the messy inconsiderate B******* its the only way,

A lot could be done by the lake owners to be fair if they don't get stuck into anglers the likes of me and you will be cleaning their lakes forever

Litter is my pet hate anywhere not just fisheries. Fair play for picking it up. Have done the same thing myself on numerous venues. A black mark on angling. These people should feel very ashamed but somehow I don't think they will. Does it go to show that some fishery owners are only bothered about taking money and couldn't give a toss about the state of the fishery.

i have to agree with you all

anyone found leaving litter should be banned from that venue!!

it spoils it for everyone else and also the enviroment

y is it every swim always has a beer can from 20 years ago and a fag packet ?

One of the rules in our club is if it's your swim it's your rubbish, no arguments you cant say someone else left it, commies or naturals
