Steve.
I am not perfect either and am always editing my posts when expressing my opinion.
Reading back even my reply could have been better put (too late now)
As for the watermark there are alternatives.
Disable right-click
Although not a foolproof method, disabling right-click on a web page will make it a little more difficult for others to acquire your images, especially the less computer savvy.
Transparent GIF
This technique involves placing a transparent GIF layer directly over the image. When the user right-clicks on the image, they can only directly save the transparent GIF file, not the underlying image. Again this method is not foolproof, but anything to make it more difficult is better than doing nothing.
Flash/Java applets
Both Flash and Java applets present another way to prevent the easy theft of your images. Although the Flash file is downloaded to the user's computer, only a skilled Flash user will know how to extract the individual graphics. Thus, using Flash or Java applets will only prevent more novice users from stealing your images.
I am not an expert in websites or photo editing but merely use google for reference.

I am a nice chap and there is no need to apologize as I know you are a nice guy yourself.

I have registered with the site and look forward to an exciting new project.

Thanks again, the transparency method is what I have been working on.

Onward and upwards...swords resheathed, handbags slung back on arms, we can carry on with the original purpose of the thread. lol

Well I think its an interesting concept, not sure I will be a subscriber as I subscribe to so much stuff already add them all up its like a mini mortgage,
but then if the content is right for me who knows.

The site looks clean and fresh and easy on the eye, shame you have to scroll half a mile for the bottom of the page, but a small glitch that can be sorted

Don't get me started on the Middle East!

Now, who's an expert on film formats for the internet? I need to do some brain picking...

MP4 is the current favourite especially with the expolsion of movie playing ipods

This trend in my opinion is here to stay The BBC, ITV Channel 4 and all the major TV companies are offering pod casts in this format, and I would think its the method to follow.
there is also a huge amount of do it yourself software for converting, Flash video is another format thats taking off and can be seen more and more on the net, Im not sure about the compression rate for flash or even if its MP4 embedded into a flash jacket, but I do know that MP4 has superb compression against quality ratio's,

Also all those that have ipods typically have an ITunes account which opens up the doors to music movies and pod casts, and is a platform to distribute, Itunes also has a feature to convert non compliant movies to a playable format

Hope that helps

JC
