Default Lasso Knot

Hi

I read this in a article:

"I use a lasso knot to attach the pellet to the hair"

What is a lasso knot, the pellet was a 6mm hard pellet.

Stan,
Tie a hair rig with a half inch loop, fold the loop over the pellet then wrap either side of the loop around the pellet.
Sounds hard but try it.

The lassoo knot is basically a 5 or 6 turn grinner knot used to make the loop on a knotless knot hair rig. It's the same knot that everyone should be using to tie on swivels etc.
1. Tie the lassoo knot, put a pellet in then tighten down onto the pellet.
2. Tie the knotless knot with the pellet in place but make allowance on the hair length for opening the loop up when the pellet needs replacing.
3. Tie multiple hooklengths and store them in a prestons 12" hooklength box either with or without the pellets in place.

The friction of he lassoo knot holds the pellet more securely and sometimes you can catch a number of fish on one pellet before it needs replacing.
The loop is best opened up with something like 2 quickstop needles.

If you get a junior hacksaw and cut a little groove round the center of the pellet then it will stay on much better.
