Simon,
So come on then, what's the latest on your venue? Have you got the land yet? It would make an interesting article.......

Cheers,
Stu

i would have about 9 metres out as alot of younger people would be able to fish and have about 3 foot bottom of shelft and about 1 1/2 foot at top but have grass banks other side so no reeds and have bout 5 foot in middle and same complex on near side and fill with f1s as they feed in winter and carp to like 8 ib so they grow (bonus fish in matches) i would have about 80 pegs if enough room as you can have 3-5 clubs and still room for plesure add roach skimmers bream!!!!!! for winter aswell tench and a few perch chubb and NO CRAYFISH lol

I think fisheries own nets are a good idea....

Anyway to answer the original question I am in the process of buying the land - then the fun begins!

Hi Simon,
The fisheries own nets are a very good idea, we have our own net dips for our pool but are trying to get all members to have a set of nets purely for our pool and nowhere else.
I am sure you have seen the poor attempts at net dips on some of the commercials, I would hate to have a fish kill on our pool because someone forgot to dip thier nets.
I also think that if you have paid for the fish in the first place there welfare is very high on your agenda.
I think some of the replies to this thread are quite funny as they don't seem to have any concept as to what is required to have thier own water.

The best safeguard re. nets is to thoroughly dry them before using them again. Preferably in sunshine!
