f1's, ide, chub and barbel for me, with maybe a scattering of decent sized carp just to make the heart pound when the elastic sets off and you could almost guarantee sport all year round.

If you put roach in make sure you have some predetors in as well the small roach are a real pain in the neck at my local venue. It would give some natural control. Its not a big lake only about 30 pegs.
Another small lake i fish has eight pegs and has carp, tench, and perch and can be a cracking venue to fish with carp upto 20lb.

Simon having seen the most popular vote how are you going to design it so you can minimise the fish shoaling, in the summer most fish will follow the wind and in winter the deeper parts of the lake will hold the fish.

Well think this has been done to death now!!
There is a clear indication towards a good mixed fishery WITHOUT f1,s!
Think alot of anglers are getting fed up with the numerous pitch and putt F1 venues that have popped up! and want to fish somewhere with a more natural balance of fish!
