Well done Wendy, i know how rewarding it is, as a PAA coach i used to run a club a few years back at Blythe Waters worked hand in hand with British Waterways bringing new kids and adults into the sport, in the 3 years i ran it never had a bad kid, never any trouble, always had a great time, had 2 kids go on for England trials and won a medal in junior national as a team, it takes a lot of your time but the look on their faces and the buzz you get makes it all worth it, good for you Wendy and go girl, enjoy it you will have some very memorable times and we need all the juniors we can coming into a sport that teaches them so much not just about Angling but life itself

Hi Wendy,
We stood by ecah other yesterday at Wassel Grove, I was the one who said the pellets were £5.00 a bag. Danny (Silver fish) was telling me about your work as a coach on the way home. So i had to come a check it out myself. Great work and great days out are had whilst out coaching at big events and small.
I hope you do not mind but i have added a link below for anyone that would like to become a qualified coach.
Ian the fish.

ian, I have witnessed the joy on wendys face, and on the faces of her students. She is such a natural, she can get on with anybody. And she makes it fun, and that's the difference, not being dictated to. You could do a lot worse than offer her a job in your angling school

Wendy, this sounds fantastic. I am currently coordinating New Deal programmes so I know how it feels to get those hard to reach individuals and actually make a difference, I have also worked at Sunfield Childrens Home for children with severe learning disabilities. I would love to do something like this but I dont think I am that good at fishing to be able to coach others - how good is their intensive course?
Would love to do it but only if I could actually achieve results.
