Tried shot with style pliers but still found more ended up on the floor so switched to using styles, much easier, better pesentation,easy to move around, don't damage the line and cheap!
If you do use shot put a blob of bluetac on the side of your shot container, put the shot onto that so you can easily move the shot around on the blue tac until the cut is uppermost then lay your line over it then use tweezers or style pliers.

stots have replaced all my small shots......i still use the big stuff canon ball size is about right for my eyes i have not tried that new tool that cuts and places shot on your line i seen the video..just cant bear to part with a tenner
