Default Pole top kits Tournament Pro

Anybody know of a decent top three that is universal and will fit the Tourny Pro - need some more top kits for this winter but the proper ones are just too expensive so if anyone knows a good substitute let me know.

Daiwa Generic 45-£50 very good for the money, will not upset the balance of the pole too much either.
Will also take black hydro or 15h preston with no1 removed no problem.

Default top kits

Hi Simon,
I am pretty sure that CTK 5 and CTK 10 are both top kits that will fit tournament poles. I have a 412 and i have some of each of these kits, i have tried them in tournament 410 and spectron and they fit fine. I think the 5's are cheapest ones. PHone daiwa sports, their spares dept is excellent and they will put you right.

The power tops for the tourney pro are crap, they throw the pole completely out of balance - well I think they do anyway.... never had any problem with normal match kits landing carp to 18lb - those ones I lose must be 20's!

Anyway Daiwa are right out of stock of the M3TK ones - bugger!

Anyone know of any other top threes that fit off different poles?

So thats why Dek was asking me about tops that fit a Tourny Pro.

I reckon that any generic is going to feel wierd on a top of the range pole.

I know that the proper tops cost but it would be like having a high performance car and sticking cheap crappy fuel in it.

For what its worth there were some Middy Tops that some of the ex Goldthorpe lads were using on their daiwas at Woodhouse Grange. If Ashmi is in the shop I'll ask him, as he has either a Tourney Pro or a Spectron Power. Pricey might have the same pole?

oneabung, try the light match kits made by fox match, ideal for the winter, rated to a 8 but are a bit more beefy than that, trim a bit off the bottom and a perfect fit.best of all, about 30 sovs apiece.i looked at them and bought four.really are quite good.
