Default Cutting Pole tip Back

Hello All

I think I am sorted on my New Pole Choice. I think its gonna be the Shimano Exage after a lot of positive comments. I have been looking around and this have seen a couple of good deals on the net. I have seen one that has 2 match kits and 2 power kits and dolly but. They are all elasticated which leads to my question. After asking about the power kits which are elasticated but have not been cut back as I have been told they do have to be due to Shimano's tip technology. On my middy I cut it back quite a way to get a no 14 elastic in?. Does this seem ok or would I have to cut the tips back to put a 14 and 16 elastic in.

Thanks in advance you guys and girls never let me down

well it would seem that if you elastic didn't go thou the hold ten you should cut it back but if the elastic goes in then leave it be. but always remember to allow for your bush

Power kits on Shimano poles are now all big bored so you should not need to cut back. I use a beast master margin and it takes a 20 hollow core without cutting back.
