Angry Top 3 breakages

I bought an MAP Defintion 16m pole in April this year. All has been well until September when I had a week at Whiteacres . Fishing Polywyn dowm one of the arms I had 2 different top sets (Hybrd/Match top 3's rated 16/12) with Prestons 13 hollow break on fish. At the time i put it down to my ''clumsy'' playing style.

However yesterday i fished a match at Weston Pools- The Official Web Site - One Of The Finest Fisheries In The Country I hooked a 10/12lb carp in the tail and with me about to net it off the top the No.3 section broke into 3 pieces! This time the set had a 14 solid latex laccy. Well unhappy and lost confidence in the pole and i'm awaiting a call back from Leeda customer services to see what they say about it.

I owned a Daiwa Marchwinner 412 for 5 years b4 this pole and never broke any section on fish although managed to stand on a few as we all do

Smile

Just had a phone call from Leeda who have agreed to replace 1 of the tops FOC and have sent it to Tasker's in Liverpool for me to collect on Friday

Happy they have replaced it foc and they were very quick in dealing with my complaint. However i'm still unhappy about the tops breaking on fish, something that has never happened to me b4

Fair play to Leeda for that Scatty.

Do you think it may be the way you play fish?
