Default Bib N brace

Hi can anyboby advise/reccomend what make or type of bib n brace clothing is best?
there seems to be a vast difference in prices in some makes.are they all the same?

They vary massively.

The best are made from gore-tex, and are guaranteed to be 100% wind and waterproof. Halkon hunt do the best in most opinions, and they can tailor them to suit. But you can pay up to 500 quid...

To be fair Protak and calebas (sp?) also do good goretex


Other bibs/jackets are usually treated nylon and vary in quality and price. Most will eventually leave u with a wet arse.

As with so many things, you relly do get what you pay for. Goretex, if looked after can last for years and years.

Buy cheap, buy twice.

gortex everytime will last for years ive had mine for 5 years now still keeps me dry

i know dave ordered his gortex in the summer and it looked as good as new on sunday

ahh yeah i saw dave's gortex with his name on an all (show off) did look the part looked very warm..

i personally wear MAP bib n brace its the nylon one i haven't got wet in i yet had it about a year or so but i would recommend a all in 1 suit to anybody (like me big green 1) so warm and cosy.

I bought the Preston dri-fish celsius a couple of seasons ago but only wear it in the winter as it is too flippin hot!

I use a set of MAP bib and brace with 3/4 jacket and fleece which I have had for several seasons now and it has never let me down. If I were looking for something new I would go for the Preston Dri Fish as I have a short jacket of theirs and it is probably the best jacket I have ever owned.
