Default A Good set of Scales

Hi Guys,

So what in your opinion represents a good set of scales.

On our club matches we take to long with the weigh in's and we want to speed things up a bit. At the moment we have a set of digital scales that you have to wait until the little fish icon stops swimming across before you get a true reading. What we could do with are a set of scales with tripod so one weigh and job done.

So what does you club use and how do they cope.

Thank you in advance for your replies.

I think the Salter scales take some beating bit more robust than the other brands. They dont come with tripod but they are easily obtained.

We have invested in a set of FOX digital scales. Absolutely great. Have cut down the weighing in time a lot. They cost about 80 quid but we ordered ours from a place in Ireland and got them a fair bit cheaper. Cant remember the address but if you are interested drop me a line and I will find out for you. We are going to buy another set for venues that require fish over a set weight to be returned so we have a set both sides of venue.
