I bought a run of the mill green brolly years ago and its still going strong. I also have a Preston dri fish suit so if it gets too windy I put the brolly away. Maybe worth investing in a good set of winter gear so you dont need to rely on your brolly so much. Just make sure your bait is covered! Saw a couple of brollies inside out and going down the pool on a match at woodlands view a few weeks ago. I took mine down when the wind tried to put me into orbit!

have you considered using a day shelter rather than a brolly? there are some fairly competitivly priced ones on the market we sell one on our site that has been popular with carpers. Top Fishing Tackle - Fishing Rods, Reels and Bait.
Good luck

hey BigOlbear i have seen brollys with the two zips in them all you do is unzip one side so you can slide your pole in and out i think daiwa do one ?
not to sure and its also a flat back brolly as well so you just peg it in the floor
