Default Long Number 1's

What use are they????

I've just bought four for my Preston pole and I'm sat looking at them thinking what I'll use them for.....................

are they short stops that go on the no 4 section, they are ideal for hollo elastics as they are just over 5 foot long

Sound a bit like the big bore power kits that Daiwa do.

Default long top 1s

Where did you get them from pal. Could do with some myself for lighter elastic/canal work!

I use the big bore No1's on my Daiwa - they are supposed to be power tops so you don't have to cut the pole back at all but to be honest they are PERFECT for canal work too as the elastic just comes out so smooth - I'm told Will Raison is using his that way too so can't be going far wrong!
