Default Margin Pulla

Hi ya thinking about getting one of these for normal margin work, not in snaggy swims though. Was wondering of what size elastic to run down it, I know you can use a lighter elastic with it but how light do you go?

if its for your margin pole then i wouldnt go light at all. the term yank and bank best decribes margin fishing.(with in reason of course).

what size fish are you targeting?

well anything around a few pound to doubles hopefully, I know most margin poles you have a heavy elastic in them but with these poles you go lighter and you use the pulla bung to tighten it up, maybe the fish feel less ressistance and come in easier

preston 13s hollow elastic is ideal for the size of fish you are targetting

monty i can see your point on the pulla for playing the fish once you have brocken your pole down to the top section but with such a light elastic you wont have any control over what the fish does while your pole is at length. i have a very heavy and floppy margin pole but it is very very very strong. i have a solid 22 elastic running through it. i hook the fish sink the pole under the water pull it 90 degrees from wher i hooked it and ship back to the top section and land the fish straight away. with the preston hollow 13, you wont have any control over the fish whilst you play the fish to your top section. i have the 13 preston in my other pole and theres to much give for any thing over 4-5lb. dont get me wrong you can land fish on it but in a match where you need to be that little bit more quicker its not ideal.
