If they had to fork out for one they would probably shop around. Des shipp uses the preston box and he is a top top angler. Doesnt mean his box makes him that because he was still a top top angler with his old box. That goes for all the top anglers. It is skill, knowledge and watercraft that makes that.
You are quite correct in stating that Nuddy got he's for free but these guys get most gear free and choose to use the best of it , that's why he uses the Rive . I was in Nuddys sections in Ireland and he was raving about his box , not so I'd go and buy one because i already had one , but because he genuinely thought it the best , so to come out with a statement like that tells me its you who got the problem with the cost , not those who use the Rive for what it is , THE BEST BOX AROUND

I have no problem with the price of any item of tackle, I should know what I have spent over the years. So far you have just made no argument as to why it is the best box. Just that it is. So give us the facts to back it up. Is it the lightest, strongest, fastest, what? Yes I have looked at them. Yes I like them. But I still dont think they are the best around though. I like the garbolino. Yes I know it isn't cheap. But what does it for me is the side footplate and the height adjustable swivel seat with back support. These are genuine steps to aid the angler. Not gimmicks. Thats just my opinion. I will always have them, never problems.

a good angler will catch fish no matter what he sits on.An average angler will catch fish no matter what he sits on. its about enjoying yourself whatever seat ,tackle, rods you have.the greatest thing about angling is rich or poor .it can be done by all

Im with Curtains here

Surely this should be all about comfort, if your backside fits on it then all is good and your on the right track, then you need to look at getting all your tackle in it, there is no point buying a box that can't carry all your kit.

I purchased the Milo pro its got more gadgets than my car and all come as standard you know the one, phone holder built in ashtray satelite receiver etc etc, but its impossible to carry it just won't sit on my back correctly, just getting it out of my car and into the garage the day I bought it I thought to myself I have done a wrong en here,

I think its safe to say we just plain over complicate things, bring back the wicker basket, they were class

JC (now looking for a small canal type box)

mate of mine has just spent £1500 on a rive plus add ons. now considering a flag ship pole is £2000 plus i reckon the box is good value as it should last a hell of a lot longer than the pole.......but as technology advances it could be bettered by a superior product sooner rather than later. perhaps it is a status symbol to some anglers but as we all know the only pounds that matter in fishing have 16 ounces in 'em .

milo all the way. dad has 1200pro and its the best box ive come across. the wheel kit jus clips on the bottom no messin around...bag on top and hes away, the sidetrays slide underneath box/footplate and it has all the gadjets and people say its over the top but you can get your station exactly the same everytime which is what you need the same rhythm everytime so it becomes second nature and fast. The box has been well thought out and will last a life time. The box is abit heavy but the wheelkit does the work and my dad carts all his gear round in 1 go no problem. Most of the top boxes are heavy anyway and i see people doing 2 trips to the car and messing around wiv barrows. rive are good but not in the same league as milo and ringer an schotthorne only use them coz they get them free from rive to sell them. jamie masson owns a milo not a rive and its nothing to do with selling coz he should be trying to sell the maver boxes!
