Default Pole tops elastics etc etc etc

I been playing around with different combo's of elastics different types etc and different methods of use,

Does anyone use the power tops for general fishing or do you all use them for what they were intended which is essentually commercials.

I have lots of tops for my pole 10 top 3 kits plus the pole itself and 4 spare 4's but still find myself thinking I dont have enough duplicates of elastic types,

now Im not lazy by any means but the thought of stripping down elastics the night before a match to have say 4 rigs set up all on no 5 latex doesnt appeal to me,

I have just taken delivery of another 6 power tops which Iam going to use to double or treble up the popular elastic sizes. am I alone on this or have others used the power tops for general fishing with lighter elastics,

it just makes good practicle sense to me, What am I overlooking ?

JC

ive only got three power tops left so just swap and change elastics by winding as much elastic on my winder bungs then all i do to change is cut at the stonfo and pull out then pull my change elastic through on a new bung leaving the old still attatched to the original bung ready to swap again when needed

What I do is, just get some spare No1's set them up correctly then take them and the bungs out and wind it all onto a winder bingo all done! This is very cheap, easier to carry and lets me cover every elastic. I saw guys in France doing it and just copied them, I'm not bright enough to work it out myself!

From Joker fishing right through to large Cats

Im going to be hitting mainly the commercials to kick off but my love still lies with the London canals and canals in general.

As for the commercials my favoured ones would be the ones heavily populated with silverfish.

Well joker fishing has finished now and hopefully you go for the cats on rod and line.

If you have 10 top 3's and 4 top 4's I think you have plenty of kits thats 14 match kits, Set up half for canals and half for commercials - don't use power kits for anything other than heavy carping that's all there good for whatever pole you own.
