I've got a beast master with ext.to 10 metres. great piece of kit. Nice and light and slim but stiff with plenty of backbone. If it was pants i would say so but i can't fault it and to be honest I only buy Daiwa poles but this was too good not to buy. The finish is superb and it just handles lumps with ease. Also great at 10 metres i fishing shallow or monsters. Hope this helps.

Have heard that the Yank and Bank are not as strong as most anglers think they are !

It seems the #4 section could be the weak point on he pole !

i have a daiwa yank n bank only used it once for the last hour of a match and had 7 fish for 50lb and it handled them with no problems, in fact its been sat in the tackle room ever since as i now use my shimano for margin work i might sell it. £100 with usual spare tops with bungee elastics plus a spare no4 cost me £175 with elastication done by tackle shop.

As art knows we was both looking at poles up at the t.c.f show.
but i was put off by a few of the guys up there as a lot of the top anglers don't own one, they seem to think that you can use your normal pole just drop down on the elastics.
so are these margin poles just another thing to carry around in your bag and a waste of money i don't know.
i hope I'm wrong as the pole that i have i dont have that much faith in it, oh yeah its a G796, if anything if i break a margin pole its going to cost me a lot less than getting bits for the 796, may be thats why they brought them out......lol........
i will keep a eye on this thread to see what you guys think.
