I have the Shimano Bestmaster 850 + the extension very strong pole, very smooth through the hands when shipping back and forth !
Nice and light, very slim even at 8.5m, handles those lumps with ease !
Tops not to long or short and just right when the carp are under your feet ready for netting !

Spare tops are only £30 so not really breaking the banks with top kits !

I know you have said about spares for Garbolino poles. OK fair enough. I cannot comment on this, however, I have a Garbolino Margin Manager and have used it at some proper bagging waters, Rolfs, Stockton, Drayton and Clattercote fishing up against the stantions on the walkways and not hard as much as a creak out of it.

My only grief is its only 8.5m long.

thanks Keith mate,,i did not put garbolino on my list as i have had some problem's trying to get spares in the past.. i am not saying that it is not a good pole as i do know that it is very good i have 4 pole's all garbolino from 13 meter's to 17 and a half meters the are awesome pole's. if i break a section it just takes to long to replace it and you spend a week shopping around to find a shop that can help out and 4 mouths to get it for you.. that's the problem that why i have gone for the one's on my list Keith. believe me i love Garbo, anyway Keith hope to see you at rolfs on June 21st if you are fishing that one it looks like a good venue... again thanks for your help Keith mate.....

If spares is your concern you cant beat Diawa they garauntee to manufacture them for 5 years after the pole is obsolete..

Thats some commitment
