Personally I wouldnt go above a 14 on a Diawa match kit and probably would stick to around 12

get some power tops for it and you can crank that right up to 20's or even more

Im not sure what tops go on the TDP but on my Diawa G8 the generic powertops seem to fit more than 1 model of pole from the Diawa range I use mostly then generic ones and to be honest couldnt tell the difference now, I have never broken one on a fish I have had carp to 23LB on the middy Blue and run hydro red with no problems at all.

What a lot of the guys are doing is buying the match tops and throwing away the no 1 its supposed to react better and be better balanced this way.

if doing that I would say you could go higher still.

This may be of help Daiwa CTK1 ST11283 from Fosters of Birmingham the CTK1 fits your pole and is rated at 16 they tend to edge on the side of caution and we all push our pole a little further than whats documented

well mine are all TA but it shouldnt make any difference, the only thing I can think of is the tension of the laccy could close down a tele top two but really that would be extreme

ye i see what you mean might try it just wonderd if it would put to much strain on the 3rd an 4th section with just a 3 an a 2 because the number 2 section would be shorter if it wasnt TA
