Question Shimano Beastmaster Margin 850 B pole

Hope someone can help me?

I have had a look on the Shimano website for elastic rating for 850 Margin B pole but it does not state anything. It states that its built on the strenghts of the old pole but no rating!! There does not evn seem to be a rating for the old pole either! Does anyone know what the margin B is rated to or even better would anyone happen have contact information for Shimano UK????

I have 20 elastic in my old beast master and would not think twice about putting brown hydro or a big hefty bungee in as it really is that strong. One is set so tight I can hardly pull it out myself! Sometimes you buy a piece of tackle and have total confidence in it and that is what I find with this margin pole. I would expect the updated model to be equally as strong as well. You can always e-mail shimano direct and they will be able to advise you.

Sorry jazz but I forgot to give you the contact number you asked for. Shimano uk is 01386 425824 or e-mail at ukinfo@shimano-eu.com The web site is Shimano - Cycling, Fishing, Snowboarding. Looking in the 2008 catalogue it states that it has a rating of 20+. Hope this helps.

Thumbs up New Shimano Beastmaster 850 B margin pole

Thank you for the imformation it was very helpful.

Phoned Shimano today and they were very helpful was told the max rating is 20 elastic.

Just like to say a few things about the pole:

1, The pole is as straight as a needle at full lenght 8.5 mt - no drooping
2, It must be one of the lightest margin poles I've ever held at only 400g
3, It is very well balanced and easy to handle
4, It has an easy glide finish to it, which makes it easy to ship wet or dry
5, The pole has a very stiff action
6, Top kits and an extention are available too!
7, It is supposed to be as strong as the earlier money - perhap even stronger

To tell the honest truth I think this is one of the best margin poles you can buy. RRP £119 but you can find them available for £109

Hope this is of help to anyone who may be interested in buying one.

Default Shimano Beastmaster 8.50 Margin Pole

Its an excellent piece of kit - cant believe how light it is and yet so powerful. Used it on Saturday looks mighty small to my normal pole but its just so lightweight at 8.50 mt.

Had a nice tench out of the reeds Sunday morning - had not trouble at all - just bullied it out!

Cant wait till I have a nice sized carp on or another 6lb plus tench

It's well worth the money any many tackle shops have them on offer around 110 instead of 119
