Default Daiwa Tournament Airity broken sections?

Anyone seen any problems with the Airity?

Broke a No 4 yesterday not doing anything at all silly, just exploded while playing a fish.

A while back there was a lot of tournament 4's going bang, could be a faulty batch.

Simon after we chatted I went to simpsons of Turnford for tommorows bait I was chatting with Lenny Golding in the shop he tells me all 9 section Diawa poles interchange
so it opens the door for cheap get out of jail sections although Im sure it will play havok with the poles peformance

As for the number 4 your far from the first and most people are using the short 4 to stop that happening

Was it a carp or silver's?For carp alway's use short 4s,most 4s go right on the joint to the top kit.I use them for meat punches. The 4 is still the softest section of all,but still very strong ,i aint broke 1 yet on the airity but have only broke a couple in the last 5 year's on other tounaments that's all.Don't forget sections are gauranteed for 12 month's for faults .

I had a Pro for 4 years and landed many doubles without using a short number 4.... will be sending the section back to Daiwa and see what they say.

Simon have a good look with a quality magnifying glass you might see a flaw or two
did it break clean across the circumference or along the length of the section

Where did the section break?A fault will occour nearly always around the circumference.

Yes it broke as if snapping a carrot in half... then obvioulsy it splintered a bit up and down - about a third of the way up the section.
