Help please
Hi All,
This is my first post so please be gentle. I am returning to fishing after 3 years out, having 2 kids got in my way. I am looking at replacing my pole but am on a tight budget, sure my missus thinks you can fish with a tree branch. Anyway these 3 have caught my eye as they are all around the £250 mark, can anyone comment on any of these please, or recommend something they think is better in the same price bracket. I mainly fish for carp on commercials by the way.

MAP CFS Supremacy 14.5M

The Maps are a very good buy and seem quite solid value for money,
There is another I have been looking at that seems very good value around that price range is the Jurrasic carp 2 it seems to have good write ups I was thinking of buying one as a spare commie pole, Im not a fan of Maver but this pole although a little shorter than the 3 you posted seems to be exceptional
I used to have the origonal which was very good indeed

thanks justin, I have just been told by tackle dealer that MAP 14.5m CARPTEK COMMERCIAL POWER & MAP GENERATION CARP 14.5m
are being discontinued and doesn't recommend getting one of those 2, but he will do me a good deal on the MAP CFS Supremacy 14.5M
which comes with a match kit & 2 power kits for £199. I have seen it else where at £399, so it seems like a bargain but would love to know
if anyone has used one.

That seems value for money Justin and a decent weight as well, Weight: 669g @ 11m.
994g @ 12.5m.
I will have a look at that myself.

The Maver Jurrasic carp 2 is an excellent pole - got one as soon as they were in the shops. Its light, stiff, straight and is very easy to handle - a real pleasure to hold. It has a match kit two power kits and cupping kit excellent value pole.

Just come back from numerous tackle shops and have brought a new maver jurassic, you guys were right, it was so much better than
any of the others i tried in that price bracket. I know all poles state there light, strong and stiff but this really is.
One question though, do you think it would be OK to use the cupping kit as a power top 2? The guy in shop said it wouldn't be a problem running
a 20 elastic through it, anybody done this?

Maver Jurassic 08
Personally I wouldn't, I would stick to using it as a dedicated cupping kit fotr the pole. Also you would have to cut loads back to get big elastics in; making it less flexible under pressure.
I am am going to buy a new power kit for my pole because of this reason.
