Default bad daiwa

aving got the new daiwa connosseur luggage just over 12mths ago it as fallen to bits all zips have pulled apart, stink bag handles have fallen off. The holdall handles and zips have burst and there is a split appearing down the main seam of holdall. After numerous discussions with daiwa and even returning all the luggage at my own expense of £16 i have received no satisfaction my luggage was returned exactly as i sent it with a stroppy hand written note stating 'it is due to general wear and tear'. Absolute cheap china crap!!!

I think this may be the way things will go. I wonder which if any makes of tackle are made in this country. Don't know what the answer is, apart from filling in any "guarantee" forms which come with the product. Having said that, I think the "bowl of rice" culture is here to stay.

I had a bale arm spring go on a daiwa reel once. I was not impressed with their after sales service. Can't remember what they charged, but the postage rubbed salt into the wound.

Default luggage

im with you on the Daiwa luggage, the carryall is very poor(imo), the net bag zips break real quick, the rod bags seem ok tho.
It is smart luggage but i wont buy again, going to switch to Preston hardcase i think

I've had a similar problem with Daiwa and have sworn never to buy another one of their products ever.

I purchased a new Flatback Tournament Shield and it broke the 2nd time out. I sent the Brolly back and was told initially 6 wks, 4 months later I still hadn't had a replacement so I complained and they sent me the broken Brolly back and a nice GFYS letter saying they wouldn't deal with abusive customers.

All i said when i complained was i felt i was being lied to as they kept telling me different dates everytime i called. Like has been said above their after sales service is dire.

No more Daiwa for me.

i have noticed several companys having quality issues lately and i too reckon the connoisseur luggage was flimsy...lasted maybe 3 months before damage started to appear......returned to my preston hardcase stuff four years old and no damage.

I had a landing net handle break apart on its first outing and also the flat back brolley break on its first outing in strong winds so went back to tackle shop and got my money back. I do own a 10 year old connisuar 11/13 ft feeder rod top bit of kit.
