I use an heavy braid called Pearsalls sutures that I got from a car boot, it's on a spool 25yrds in length had it about 12 years.

Tie a loop 3" long to the top of this tie a 1" loop thats it done, to fix to dacron place fore finger & thumb in the big loop take hold of the line below the loop forming another loop, place dacron in the loop & pull tight. Sounds tricky but it's simple.

i use 8 pound dacron for my connectors i have 2 inches of dacron from the elastic and put an inch and a half of shrink tubing on to it which stiffens it up perfectly far stiffer than 50 pound dacron

I live in Bham. I stopped fishing a few years ago but have started again.

I used to use 12ib Dacron hook link but can't seem to get it any more. The shops only seem to sell braided, which I find tangles on the main line.

Question. Where do you get your Dacron from please. Would much appreciate your reply.

Im sure i got it from fishermans friend in bearwood and it is the drennan one olive green n colour

tie a double overhand loop in the end of your main line, then form a loop below this not tied though, then pass this second loop to form a lasoo affect, pass loop over dacron and pull down behind knot in dacron. good luck.
