i use 50lb for my Dacron its fly line and why do i use 50lb it stiffer and hangs better it dos not twists on it self or gos in to a ball after a lot of uses or giving you tangs around the tip of the pole as you ship back.. and no it not thick it look the same as 10lb Dacron it just a diff strand the nice thing is it yellow and stands out well .. i have had my Dacron on my top kit for three yrs and it looks just like i put it on a day a go, if you want to get hold of some you have to go to Bristol in a shop called veals this is there web site veals4carp.com - suppliers of fishing tackle,fishin... i do know that they have them per packed i think you get three in a pack give them a try
