i always finds this happens to me and it's a real hasle for me when i find it stuck on the bank but what i normaly do is try to separate it using a rig winder it's a bit unconventiional but it does the job with minimal damage to the pole.

get them some where warm, airing cupboard etc and leave overnight if all the water has dried they will come apart. i have had many sections stuck together over the years and never needed more than this. not keen on the one at each end and someone in the middle rotating method....try the easy option first

dead right complete angler, i have seen anglers tapping there stuck sections whilst some one is on each end, and i have seen the look on there faces when the pole breaks

when you set your pole up rub a candle over the joints the wax that is left behind will stop the sections from sticking.i have never had one jam on me

a good way to void this is to use candle/ bees wax on the male joins (when the pole joints are dry) this should stop the joints sticking.
