Default Advice For New Angler!

Hi guys. Just been reading through your excellent forum and I am sure I am going to learn lots from you people here! Anyway, my question is... I am looking to buy tackle for myself and my 14 year old lad. We have a little bit of stuff, but just enough to do a bit of basic coarse fishing. Hopefully, the idea is to fish decent commercial fisheries at first. Hopefully this will give us both a bit of confidence and experience to start us off! Well, the type of places we will be fishing are places like Hampton spring Fisheries, Cheshire ( Hampton Springs Fishery :: Fishing in South Cheshire ) I realise that this is mainly a carp venue, but they have some other great fish here too. We just had a day there and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Anyway, back to the question. If any of you could offer good advice on products, type of rods/reels, end tackle, etc... then I would be more than happy to listen. I have a budget in mind that I would like to spend between us both, so I was thinking of Rod holdall, decent size box, something for storing hooks, floats, etc in, something for storing hook rigs in, rod/reel combo's (never used a pole and tbh am a little intimidated by them!). Also, are there any friendly Anglers Clubs anyone could recommend in Liverpool (I live in Aintree but can travel) Thanks a lot guys!
