Default Braided line for hooklength?

I would like to use braided line hooklength when feeder fishing. I have been told I would only need about a 4lb bs line which in real terms is gonna be more like about 10lb bs. How true is this and what make braid would you suggest? Thanks

waynos..i can see no advantage of a braid hook length it just rips and saws into the mouths of fish..what is your reasoning behind wanting to use a braid hook length.

you will find most places dont allow braid at all the only one i know of is cudmore ,ive used it a few times but only with elasticated method feeders when fishing right up to reeds ,the reason for this was my hook lengths were getting cut off on the reeds ,but if you still want to puchase some drennan do braid for about £4 you wont find any cheaper

The braided line was for the method feeder on elastic. I saw a video where Andy Findlay used braided hooklength when method fishing. I had not concidered using braid before then and wanted other peoples opinions on it. Thanks for your comments gents!
