Question Preston Feeder Rod

Anyone using a Preston Sentient 12ft Super Feeder Rod! Got one new as a gift & was wondering does anyone know the the capabilities of this rod in terms of suggested bs lines, max.size of fish, & whether this type of rod would be suitable for Stafford Moor - chucking 1oz bombs to islands?

Flipper boy you wont have a problem with that rod

I was just reading an article on that range from the Preston site and the 11ft can launch a 2oz feeder 55 yds the 12 ft version will top that no problem its action is designed to allow you to use lighter hooklengths yet keep you in touch with the fish. it was designed for commercials

It looks like a top quality product and very similar in design to the Normarks

Forgot to mention Justin Case, the model i have is the Sentient 12ft Super Feeder & not sure what this means in comparison to the other rods in the range. Although if it lands me Carp to 10lb at Stafford Moor i will be happy.

Its an active carbon rod I would take a guess at the super part meaning its got a little more punch for launching, maybe with the method in mind

here is a link to a description of your rod, its line rating is up to 6lb

TackleUK - Preston Innovations Carbon Active Sentient Super Feeder 12ft - £160.9

I hope that helps
