Right the decision is made it will be Ashleys Pool, for those who have not fished it before it is a square pool with 26 pegs so we should have a fair spacing between anglers, depths go to around 5 foot and the target species will be carp and skimmer bream, I understand that the stock pool is being netted on Monday with plenty of stockies going into Ashleys Pool.

Fishery Rules are simple
1 No peanuts, tiger nuts, trout pellet
2 No braid
3 Barbless hooks only
4 Feed pellets must be purchased fom the fishery

In view of the size of the pool they dont feeder on this pool so I suggest we adopt the same so its pole or waggler tactics,

Breakfast is available on site and 3 bacon 3 sausage egg beans tom plus bread and butter is £5. 2 bacon 2 sausage etc is £4, bacon baps etc are also available.

I went down for a look today and found a corporate day on Ashleys pool, ended up having a few hours on Dales pool, had five decent skimmers/Bream for about 14-15 lbs total, all on the pole, best was just under 4lb. Forgot to ask how the match had fished as I was a bit late packing up, so none the wiser really

There's a chance I might draw a good peg for a change then. . Ashley's can be hard but this nice weather might help.

Hi Rivet, I approach it from the Belfry island, go up past Drayton Manor park entrance into Fazeley and turn left at the roundabout (old A5?) Pass over canal, pass BW offices on right (peels wharf?) and then there are some old buildings on the right, turn right and fishery is behind these buildings, I believe it is signposted on the left hand side of the road?

Directions are as Erics post look out for the pet shop, and 40mph/camera signs turn into drive and follow it round to the fishery.

Been for a look round this afternoon, looked a bit quiet to be honest, never saw a fish caught, but the open was won with 20lb earlier in the day.

Also had a look on saturday. It looked bleak.I saw one fish caught in 20 minutes, that was on ashleys.Other bad news,i was told by a venue regular that the stock fish are only going into the big lake on monday.ashleys could do with an injection of stockies to liven it up.This high pressure and strong sunlight might be good to fish in,but its no good for the fishing.
