Lee mate, It seems to me that you,re trying much to hard. So hard in fact its spoiling your enjoyment and you,re forgetting to relax. Its not a must win or must catch hobby. Try and look at it from a different angle, try different approaches, if you dont catch "so what" its not the end of the world. The thing is "enjoy it". Its not about who,s the best either, its getting what you want from the sport and nothing more. I fished 2 venues last week and never had a sniff, i caught but didnt frame. I had my doubts about the first match because i knew where the framers were coming from, my second match saw me off to a very slow start and ended up[ watchin me mate in the next peg sack up, he even told me what he was doing and i still couldn,t catch, how frustrating is that. But i never put myself down by thinking i,m the worst angler i just treat it as a learning curve. If you become negative you will miss out on some great fun and some great fishing.

woody1 has a good point. I have been on a mess a few weeks running. Basicly we cant do nothing about it but just carry on as you normally would. The last 3 matches I have had I have not got a total of 3lb. got me thinking what was I doing wrong, what can I change, In the end you will have a day where you hammer it. we all get those crappy pegs and even have a few weeks of them. Its not your fishing tactics mate. Like woody said, its not the end of the world. You dont have to come first, second, ect. there is always a place for people to come last, if there wasent it would be boring right !, we all have to do it eventually. Me quite often in the past few weeks. annoying I know but plod along !

Hi Lee, (3oz)

May I at this point state that Mr 3oz only beat Weldec alphabetically, this was after some really bad info from Bonehill Star (what a rip off). Great dau out with the banter though.

Really though Lee, you must do a little research on the venue you are to fish, stick to the basics and dont get drawn in to taking to many baits, as to many options will only confuse the issue on the day. Please dont put yourself down mate, having confidence in your own ability is one of the prime factors to fishing sucessfully. Looking forward to meeting up with you at Springwood were we will attempt to beat our T/A PB of 3oz, I'm sure we will have a great day out Lee and no matter who you get pegged next to rise to the occasion and keep an eye on what they do if they are baggin, plent of info will be at hand mate. Have you tried fishing with your pool cue. LOL
