Bri if you can get a match on there in the summer i've no doubt everyone will have a few bites and the wind doesn't blow like that then, if you decide too put me down I enjoyed the match a lot today caught steadily for the 1st 3 hours but they were all gudgeon and tiny roach/perch then with an hour to go decided to try the feeder with pellet in and sweetcorn on the hook and with 1/2 hour to go my rod was nearly torn in by a nice carp about 5lb i reckon, I wish i'd gone on the tip a bit earlier now though because a couple more fish and you never know anyway I weighed in 6lb 12oz for a good final placing for me a top 10 finish I think (bloody hell im in shock)

What a difference a day makes, just 24 hours later and guess what the bloody sun is out, hardly a breath of wind, well just enough to put a slight ripple on the water and fishing the pole would be a doddle, nice to meet a few more new faces yesterday, well I guess I had better get out into the garden and remove some of yesterdays mud from my gear.

Well done Brian for another well organised match, and congrats to curtains for a great weight in difficult conditions. Enjoyed the day despite the heavy rain at the start and gale force winds throughout. It was far too windy for the pole so I resorted to the waggler and managed 3 carp and 2 skimmers on double sweetcorn. I'm sure the one carp was a 'Barney Rubble'
I must say the beer and food in the cricket club was superb, cheap and really good quality. The pork and apple pies were the 'dogs'

i must say bri it was very well organized match and the food and beer was cheap and really good quality in the cricket club. even if the conditions was difficult despite the heavy rain at the start of the match, but that wind was bad but it was a fantastic day out all the same. it was nice to meet a lot of the lad's on here and i like to say well don curtains a good win in the conditions we were fishing in. let's hope that next year more will brave the difficult conditions like we did and make this kind of match even a bigger.. as i side before a big thanks bri for a fantastic day out, me and the bro we had a lot to talk about in the van on the way home but he did not let me know that he beat me he always rubs it in my be it's because it Christmas......lol

Great job as master of ceremonies Bri, Great bunch of lads, and a cracking round up to the day at the cricket club. Well done the framers. Thanks all for your company. Merry Christmas,

P.S Broke down a mile from home, towed in by green flag. the garage estimate £600 for a repair if i need a new clutch. Its a gearbox out job. master and slave sealed unit in the bell housing and as the cars done 37000 they,ll look at the condition of the clutch.
