She used to employ a couple to live in the bungalow and manage the fishery, this included selling the odd bag of pellets or tin of meat/corn and later stretched to hot food. Not been for a year and a half though so things may have changed.

Right Lads, back from my weekend in Dublin (the reason for my silence)....

Warden - if you have a better venue for this match we are obvioulsy interested in catching as many fish as possible and if you have a better suggestion then let me know.

It would be ideal if we could get a 10 a side thing. But we do want it to be a silverfish match with carp to count as a pound unless they are smaller than a pound.

Pine Lakes is not far from Donny.M18 jnc 5 M180 first junc. head for Thorne just before the flyover bridge in Thorne, Kirton lane I think.(not the first overhead bridge that you come to)turn left going up past Triangs just before you get to the M18 (overhead) its on the left,Michael 07867 553645(the owner has put 1000's of Ide in )for the winter matches to go with a good head of Tench roach bream etc,I think everyone would prefare a silvers Match.it looks a bit more appertising in real life.In the Y/F match 30lb+ won with every one catching and I think only 2 Carp were caught.

Spoke to Michael a few moments ago it is free on the 12th.Last week 62lbs won a match there the best weight he's had out this year.like everywhere else it is frozen at the moment .He is pumping water over it to try to de-ice it.I am happy to fish anywhere,but as I will probably be fishing for the YMA team whom you have invited to fish, it may be better if you made the decission.depending on the price there would certainly be no problem getting numbers for this venue as evryone who has fished it has been impressed.

Can we get it booked then.... sounds ace if there are those sort of amounts of silvers in there. What is the maximum number that it can take with everyone having enough space?

I think it holds 27 there are a couple of pegs that have been flyers which he took out in the Y/F match I think we booked 20 pegs with the option of a few more on the day,they will certainly give you exclusive use of the lake if you are booking 20 odd pegs or so,Phill.
ps there is plenty of room between pegs,give him a ring he is very helpful.

more piccys of Pine Lakes,ignore what it says about second lake that has been altered and is empty at the moment,and this was before he put several thousand Ide in.
