Enjoyed the match even though i blanked , but on talking to the owner and a local guy who fished it quite a lot, i have a better plan of attack the next time i fish it.

Only been on the site a few days as i was drafted in last minute, but hopefully i`ll be on the next match whenever there is one arranged !!

Yes, well done to everyone who turned up today, great cameraderie on the bankside and in the pub afterwards, apart from Chris(notonebite )and oneabung senior,with32lb and 17lb in the net, before the 1lb per Carp rule kicked in. it was very hard going for the rest of us with I think 9oz winning one section the threatened rainstorms and strong winds did not materialise and it was really very pleasent for the time of year, almost made up for the fish not showing.

yeah, cheers lads for making it a good laugh, i have met some really good guys from your team. Hope we can do it again because it is 1-0 to you lot. It is really a shame that the venue didn't produce the goods, but at this time of year any fish is a bonus.
Thanks again lads, see you soon.

A good day yesterday. The banter was friendly and helped to pass the time between bites
Nice to have met the talk angling team - hope we can have a re match when it's a bit warmer.

Cheers, Ade (YMA, peg 8)

Between bites you mean some had more than one.cant wait till oneabung posts the match result I am going to frame my 1oz (perch)that took me out of the DNW. columb.
Taken off the YMA site.
well done to everyone who turned up today for the victorious YMA side, and well done to chris (notonebite)for putting 32lb in the net (before the 1lb per carp rule kicked in)also to oneabung senior of Talk Angling 17lbs who showed the younger anglers how to catch on a day that was very hard going for most of us the day started at the cafe where we met up with some of the T/A lads had a laugh and a joke with them before going on to Pine Lakes, there had been a heavy frost overnight with the untreated roads very slippy and despite it being very pleasent calm and sunny I think we thought it would be hard, with Mick the Troll,Naf,Adecam doing best on a day the fish just did not want to play.the Landlady at the Rising Sun had offered to put us some snacks on after the match and she did us really proud with chip butties galore really enjoyed today,I would like to thank simon for inviteing us to join them today and hope we can have a rematch in the not to distant future.Phill.

Thanks to everyone for coming along on the day, just a shame it didnt fish very well for most of the lads. Mind you it was bitterly cold and with nothing to go at other than IDE or carp you really didnt stand much of a chance if the Ide werent in your part of the lake.

As for the fishery, the carp were in absolute pristine condition and a credit to the venue, you did need to be in the middle numbers though as there was more water to go at up there!

Congratulations to YMA on their comprehansive victory and of course to TEAM RATTLER of TA for holding up our side and stopping YMA taking all the money home!

Looking forward to the next challenge!
