As this is a fun match how about this then.
We will draw the names for the pairs before the the main peg draw. Then everyone draws a peg.The payouts will be for the pairs.......based on 20 anglers.
1st pair = £80.......£40 each
2nd pair = £60.......£30 each
3rd pair = £40........£20 each

plus £20 to overall winner

I still need to get up there and peg it somehow and I don,t know the stretch.....any volunteers to help me please..........or is it already permanantly pegged.I now have 17 for this match......I need 1 more from work and 2 more from here.

Ray peg back towards Bath from the swing bridge. It's not permanently pegged. Leave out the first 50yds (start of the 1st bend), so put peg 1 opposite about the 3rd or 4th permanently moored boat on the far bank. Don't put that first bit in as the boats pull over and moor to swing the bridge and take off again causing havoc up near the bridge. Peg 2 should be at the back of the blue boat with rushes and pipe behind it (this is a flier!!) Then peg away from here giving a good distance between pegs (about 30-40 paces) With up to 20 fishing there will be a few moderate walks but the further you walk the better it got in all the matches last season, I'd love a high number draw.
If you want to peg on the morning before the draw (as everyone gets their kit out the car) I'd help as it would only take about 15mins to stick down 20 pegs. Infact if everyone was in agreement about walking a bit I'd even leave out one length (3-4 pegs) that produced poor weights in each match last season. As it's more for fun (and about catching some fish) there's little point sticking in bad pegs on a small match! This could cause a bit of 'end peg' moaning from the match anglers but at least you won't be sat on rubbish pegs. You could put that to a vote on the day.

I didn,t put it in the shops as I have 18 so far and only have 20 tickets. When I spoke to my local tackle shop he said I could have 5 times as many tickets but as its only a work thing I did not want them to be swamped by good anglers.

Todays Bathampton match at Claverton (the next length along to Diggers) fished really well. More small skimmers than Roach weighed in. Only Bread, pinkies, caster and chopped worm used. No one bothered with B & J. Only 8 fished but 4 had double figures,
1st 13lb 2oz (inc 3lb Bream)
2nd 11lb 10oz
3rd 11lb 3oz
4th 10lb 15oz
5th 8lb+
6th 7lb+
7th 5lb+
8th DNW

So it's fishing well and pretty fair along the length we fished with loads of bites all day. Lets hope next week is equally as good.

They look like nice weights Graham, I can't wait till next week.....unfortunately the guys I booked tickets for can and don't want to fish due to various excuses.... painting/diy-ing , Got there carp heads on, local match on, which mean that they get a lie in. So its just me coming now Ray, sorry about that, I have been on the phone most of the day trying to persuade someone to come with me.. see you next week. Rich
