Keith

As you know i travel in the mobile shoe box, and seeing as i've got to take Julie the 3 kids as well as myself and 2 lots of gear all to Reading on the Saturday (brownie points) plus it's only an hour from there rather than 3½ from here.

I'm after a bit of advice as i'll need to cut down a heck of a lot on what gear i can fit in the shoe box.

Are the fish mostly in pole range as then i can just bring 2 poles instead of 2 poles and 4 rods (there is 2 of us) also what quantity of pellet feed is the norm at present (not Gary's quantity)

The worse bit is i know i'll need the barrow for that mountain and thats one of the worst bits to fit in other than the rod bags (note to self need a BIGGER car)

Malc

Malc,

I fished the open yesterday and although I was not on the match lake it was won on the waggler late on. The fish are playing a bit cagey at present and hopefully will come off the island by the weekend.

Personally I will be taking a pole and waggler rod with me. Pellet for feeding I would say about 6 pints but you will probably bring some home with you.

Everyone,

A barrow is a must as the hill is quite steep. Alright going down. If anyone has any medical conditions let me know and I can try to sort something out for the end of the match.

Cannot say for definate although the waggler to the island certainly caught some fish. I was on Wood lake tucked away in the corner.
