Peter my avatar is an upload from photobox.com and photos on the old site used to stop there. i will try using photobucket though cheers Peter.

It's the direct linking problem again Neil, very few sights allow it because it can swallow a lot of bandwidth I'm afraid .
I've experienced similar problems in the past with photos hosted on MSN which is why I now have a PRO account on photobucket .

Brian,
If you right click on your avatar and go to properties you'll find that your avatar image is actually hosted by talkangling.co.uk presumably uploaded onto a database on the server as opposed to being linked to your photobox account.

There you go Brian.

A further word of advice however is to try and keep photos down to a maximum size of 500 X 500 pixels and no larger than 30000 bytes if possible.
Yours is 800 X 536 pixels and 104136 bytes.
Reduced it looks like this................


This is to save page spread as some people may be using low resolution monitors, also anything over 30000 bytes can take a long time to load for those that are still using a Dial-up connection.

Peter thats the size I got with Photobox just need to get to grips wih Photobucket, but thanks for your help at least we know that some uploaders are not compatible with the site.
See above I have reduced it just need to run through the tutorial for Photobucket
