Hi lads, i am fishing a match here in a few weeks time, been told its on the 2 back canals? anybody fished it? or know what species i fishing for? f1's or carp? many thanks

hi k1,,hillview is one of my sons favourite pools and weve fished it loads,,on the canel pools fish the far shelf with pellets and you should be ok for a good mixture of species but mainly carp,afew ghosties too..i always feed on me toe close in with red maggots over micro pellets and you can bag up quickly on your top two kit, corn works well too..a good tip is to keep the bait trickling in ,in small amounts or the fish will move away..hope this helps..

carp go from 6oz to 15lb. Use 0.14 for fishing over 0.18 down the edge
