Swan Pool, Sandwell Valley, West Brom.
Hi all,
Lots of stuff to ask about this place, but just for starters: Key species? Recommended fishing methods? Hot spots? Is parking safe?

fishing is very very hard, some big carp and pike in there. mate fishes it 2-3 days a week for carp, only had two this year. used to be loads of tench, bream, and perch in there, but not many fish it now, some cars have been relieved of items now and then. i will ask him about other fishing when i see him, Edgbaston will be much better option mate.

Cheers bud. That was about the answer I was expecting, but a challenge might be good! Thought the parking might be a bit dodgy, but I spose we could get t'other arf to drop us off so we don't need to leave the car. Hadn't thought about Edgbaston. Any tips?

hi mate got to try the gd feeder for one, wen you walk up to the pool if you walk left around the bend its shallow there chuck 40 yards on the tip if your just past the boat launch its deeper there better in winter so walk past it 20 yards fish anywhere before you go round the bend hit and miss though,if you look straight in front of you you will see a sand bank on the other side the pool good place for bream roach on waggler, if you go to the right of the pool all the way up to the first bend just round the bend you can catch about 5 or 6 meters just down the shelf again there is some depth there mate tench roach, and one peg if you carry on walkin to the right over the little bridge keep goin up to the island walk just round the back there is a big tree/bush just on the bend on the back of the isalnd its about 14m but in this weather they fish over to it on the pole ive seen loads of bream bein caught and tench hope this helps

Cheers for the info boys. All useful stuff. Obviously there's endless commercials to choose from but I do like to venture into the relative 'unknown' occasionally
