173lb won it last Sunday, several other weights over 100lb and there is every week but that is in afternoon matches, bit harder in the day. 109lb won the morning match and he caught them all, mainly brown goldfish on the long pole up in the water.

Main method is long pole, 14.5 - 16M up in the water with 6mm hard pellets, tend to get the bigger carp about 3ft deep and the brown goldfish at 1ft and it pays to fish for these when the big ones aren't feeding. Lots of tapping and slapping is needed to get bites! Only bother with the margins if your on an end peg and then fill it in to the next platform with pellet, hemp, corn, meat, whatever you've got! If its colder and windier try the bomb, loosefeeding 8mm pellets with double 8mm on the hair or 5m pole on the deck with pellet, meat or corn.

Any peg can win it, depending on the wind but 7, 11 and 61 are flyers and the 50s are normally good. 33 and 34 can be good as can 41. Might be worth trying the pellet feeder on pegs 21 and 41 - 45. Anywhere else the island is too overgrown to get tight and its not normally a winning method in the summer anyway.

I was only kidding mate! The same tactics work on every peg though! Apart from you could try the feeder on the pegs I mentioned.
