Portland Lakes Nr Newark.

Fish the 30 peg canal pool. Fished a couple of matches there had a lot of barbel up to a pound plus some to 4lb and they go like hell.

The venue has a cafe on site with a jumbo breakfast for £5.50.

Nice comfortable pegs to fish from

Cudmore Arena lake full of them! Only around 1.5lb though.

loxley fisheries nr dam flask in sheffield loads of barbel in fish tight to pads with luncheon meat also loads of chub too

I agree, Loxley is full of Barbel. Not a big venue and does get quite busy so book in advance to save any hassle.

Flushing meadows in acton bridge near northwich. Quite a few in there but also may be abit far for u.
