got a friend who is going there and he wants some info on it ?

what species, methods, baits, pegs etc ?

There are two essential bits of kit needed at Swanhurst - Baseball bat + minder.

is it that bad, as a former Salford, Edgy, Soho Loop, Tame Valley angler is it any worse than them ?

Put it this way, I wouldnt go on my own.

I fished it many years ago, there were pleny of skimmers there and a few big carp.

A better bet might be Trittiford Mill there were loads fishing it back in the summer early autumn, they were having big bags of bream.
