Talking aston split ponds(sheffield)

any advice for aston split ponds.sunday matchs.fished worm and caster.i had plenty of silvers and a few carp for 26pound good fishing.but i think worm and caster attracted to many silver fish at this time of year. Not so sure about this low and high pressure affecting the way the fish feed!it was raining yesterday with low pressure in command.the lad next to me won the match with nearly 60 pound mostly up in the water.
