I live in Tetney village and have fished Tetney lock/local becks on the odd occasion.
To be fair ive never really given it a good go but that will all change this year as im fed up of fishing holes in the ground and fancy a change in fishing.
Ive had Dace,rudd,perch,eels,chub and a pike.
The stretch near the pub holds tench and carp too but not in big numbers.
There is some good bream/roach fishing to be had on the pub stretch during the winter months so i have been told.
For the past few years my fishing as been at barnet ponds north thoresby, thoresby bridge ponds, oasis, the bull rushes, the pond in Tetney at £170 a year and last year farm ponds at cheapside.
Ill not be joining barnet ponds again as the fishing last year was terrible and its not the nicest venue around here.
I sometimes venture further afield and fish other day ticket waters.
But this year ill fish day ticket ponds then drop on the canal and fish that once the season starts.
Where do you fish Mitch?
Ps im going to have the odd couple of hours before the end of this season trotting the drain near that scrap yard near the s bend before you get to the big green tanks.
Ive seen good dace pulled out of there and its only 5 mins away from me.
