down stream of the dam is supposed to be no fishing untill you reach the barrels from there you can freeline or float fish but the water does not really deepen for about fifty yards where you can fish both waggler and stick float avoid using maggots or you will get bitted out by minnows casters best bet or flavoured sweetcorn you can also leger with a feeder using pellets halibut best
after the trees you come up to cleasby deeps ideal for chub and decent barbel but they are very wary so you will be lucky to catch more than two or three in a session if you care to wade out the trees on the other bank hold some large shoals of dace and in the cooler weather plenty of grayling

down stream of cleasby the waterstarts to flow faster with a number of gentle rapids ideal for nice sized trout before getting deeper expect chub and barbel anywhere along this stretch with the odd pike for good measure
i have fished this stretch of the tees for years best baits are sweetcorn casters luncheon meat pellets or really smelly stiffcheese paste
